Capernaum is about creating spaces where teens and young adults with disabilities can meet Jesus and grow in their faith. This looks like Capernaum clubs specifically designed with our friends in mind, and it also looks like Young Life areas intentionally weaving inclusion into their traditional Young Life, WyldLife and College ministries. Ultimately, the vision is that all students with disabilities would have a sense of belonging within Young Life.
Our friends are invaluable and indispensable in the work and leadership of Young Life and their communities. Through friendships with leaders, students can further discover their many God-given gifts and talents. In providing opportunities to practice using their gifts, our friends grow in their desire and ability to serve in their local communities and churches, both during their school years and beyond.
Young Life Capernaum gives young people with disabilities the chance to experience fun and adventure, to develop fulfilling friendships and to challenge their limits while building self-esteem through club, camp and other exciting activities.
